Punch Buggy is an independent magazine covering music and its subcultures in North Carolina and beyond.

The magazine was created in 2023 as the project of a freshman at UNC Greensboro. Punch Buggy has since published a wide range of interviews with artists from North Carolina, Chicago, Nashville, and New York. We have become a driving force of creativity and community in an underground scene often overlooked by major publications. 

Punch Buggy is a labor of love. We have never taken payments from artists in exchange for coverage. We invest hundreds of our own dollars towards gas, merch, equipment, and subscriptions. Now, we are funding our first ever physical print magazine.
