Hi everyone! This Go Fund Me is being organized by Ryan/Nicole Drake and Justin/Haley Drake on behalf of the amazingly strong woman we all know and love, Donna Drake, to help alleviate some of the stress she’ll be facing in the form of mounting medical bills.

On September 19th Ed suffered a VERY rare Artery of Percheron stroke — a stroke that impacts the brain stem which controls “alertness”. Over the last 3 1/2 weeks Ed has essentially been in a coma-like state, bravely fighting to come home to his beloved family. After a week in the ICU he was stable enough to move to a step-down floor. After a battery of tests, numerous setbacks and an army of prayer warriors behind him, on Monday October 10th all of Ed’s specialists agreed that despite all efforts, the man we know and love would not be able to recover.

Ed has since been moved to a hospice facility where he will peacefully transition home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Donna and Ed are the pillars of faith, love and family. Soul mates of 42 years, Donna will now be left picking up the pieces navigating her life without her best friend beside her. There is nothing any of us can do to help ease that pain, and sadly the reality of “life” will come knocking in the form of substantial medical bills. Many have asked, how can I help? What can I do?
