Support the DRAGon Boats Team at Dragon Boat Festival

We’re thrilled to introduce the DRAGon Boats, a vibrant and diverse team made up of Youth Services Bureau clients—many of whom are paddling for the very first time—alongside the spirited Vintage Queers team. Together, they’re proudly competing in the Pride Cup at the Tim Horton's Dragon Boat Festival, happening June 20–22 at Mooney’s Bay in Ottawa.

For many of our youth participants, this is more than just a race—it’s a rare opportunity to build confidence, community, and joy in a safe, inclusive space. But we need your help to make it happen.

Your donation will help cover:

• Registration and Boat rental fees

• ️‍♂️ Coaching and practice sessions

• Safety equipment and paddles

These youth face daily challenges, and while basic needs like food and shelter are met, there’s little room for recreational or community-building activities. This event gives them a chance to shine, connect, and celebrate who they are—loudly and proudly.

What better way to show your support for LGBTQ+ youth and elders than by helping them paddle together toward pride and empowerment?
