Support the Dove Family in Memory of Skip

My name is Chuck Winters. I am creating this GoFundMe page on behalf of the Dove family.

As you all know, we lost Skip way too early. He is survived by his brother Peter Dove and Skip's children, daughter Johna and son Jimmy.

The support from all his friends and fellow Elks has been heartwarming and comforting.

It is our hope that many will be able to join us to celebrate his life. Details below.

Many have reached out asking how they can help the family during this time. There are significant expenses associated with the memorial service, travel expenses for family, and sadly with the cleaning and restoration of his residence on Sport Lake. This is how the funds collected will be used.

This GoFundMe page is being created to try and alleviate the immediate burden of these expenses from the family, and provide an avenue for Skip's many friends to do as we know Skip would do... help a brother or fellow Elk in time of need.

These funds will go directly to an account created by Emily Higginson (Skips Niece) and is tasked with dispersing where needed.

Your help is much appreciated.... any excess funds, or funds that may be reimbursed from the Alaska Victims Fund, will be donated to one of Skips favorite charities.

The service for Skip will take place at the Soldotna Elks at 2pm on October 4th 2025. The service will include scattering Skips ashes in the Kenai River at the Howlett property at the end of Big Eddy Drive.
