Support the Douglas Family After Fire Loss
Donation protected
The Eaton Fire has left a trail of devastation, impacting countless families and the entire Altadena community. My father, Deacon Edwin A. Douglas, was one of the many who lost their homes to this horrific disaster. We lost our home to the fire, but my father has been impacted the most severely. My father is 88 years old and for the past 52 years, 356 W. Palm St., Altadena, CA 91001, was his home and the hub for many, many family and friends. My father and mother (Deaconess Irish Jean Douglas) built a community from that home. They, devoted believers in Christ, served their church and the community, were foster parents, and opened their doors to anyone in need. When my mother Jean Douglas passed away in 2012, my father suffered greatly with grief over her loss. This home was everything they built together, and the Eaton Fire stripped my father of everything, but most importantly, the home he and his wife shared together for over 50 years. My dad and my family, including myself, my spouse, my son, his wife, my three grandchildren, and our animals, lost everything and are now starting over. I am not one to ask for help and certainly not financial help, but this is an exception, and with a humble heart, I am asking anyone who feels led to bless my father and our family with a gift in any amount, so that we can begin to help restart and rebuild our lives. Thank you for your prayers. Thank you to all who have reached out to us, sent a meal, or gave us donations. We are so humbled and grateful. Thank you and pray for us as we continue to pray for all of you who are affected as well.
