As most of you know, the Dougherty family’s house was recently destroyed due to a tornado that touched down in their neighborhood on 8/29. They live in a densely wooded area with large trees that fell throughout their yard and onto their house. Their house is uninhabitable due to extreme damage and debris. Their yard is also full of other large trees that fell and now need to be removed. Insurance is only covering tree removal services for the trees that landed on their house.

Ultimately, their family is required to live in a rental property for approximately the next 6 months and their house is being torn down due to the extensive and irreparable damage. Any funds raised will go towards clearing the lot and rebuilding as insurance will not cover this completely.
