Support The Dormans after the Wildfire

Our parents, Jim and Kim Dorman, are always the first people to reach out and help others when in need. Their happiness comes from the kindness and generosity they can provide to others, but as is often the case, that means they struggle to ask for help when they are facing hardships.
The Eaton Canyon Fire is one of several wildfires that have torn through Southern California and has impacted the lives of countless families. Our parents had to evacuate the city in the middle of the night while the wildfire destroyed their home of over 40 years. Thankfully, they were able to get out safely and have wonderful friends with whom they are able to stay. However, due to their age and how aggressively the fire spread, they were not able to escape with much beyond the bare essentials. Their loss is compounded by the fact that they had just finished renovating the house in preparation to sell it and downsize. This lost investment had drained much of their savings, which has only added to the current hardship. Even our family photos were not spared; the albums were lost along with countless other precious memories that were stowed away in a storage pod our parents were packing for their upcoming move.
They do feel blessed and fortunate to have supportive friends who have been housing them while they sort out their plans moving forward. However, like so many people, much of their livelihood was tied to their property and it will be a long healing process. If you are able and willing to help our family, quite literally anything helps. There is no gesture or amount that is too small in present circumstances. Any support and prayers are extremely valuable and greatly appreciated.
