Hello potential donors. My name is Idania Dominguez. On Monday, October 27th, 2025, my family experienced an electrical fire in our home which completely destroyed my dads and brothers basement apartment and also my mom and I's first floor apartment in our long time home of 30+ years. There was a family also on the second floor which I'm not too sure where they are at the moment but I know they had a large family with a couple months old child. This was devastating to all of us. My younger brother and dad lost their 2 cats and turtle unfortunately, due to the rapid spread of the fire and toxic smoke. Luckily for me my neighbors got out first and managed to get my dog out of the window as I scrambled to catch my bearings and grab things I felt I needed for the short moment i had to get out. The fire spread within minutes and reached my first floor apartment. Mostly the kitchen being that the first started right under it. The fire kept also did a lot of damage to the rest of the house trying to contain the fire. It was truly heartbreaking to see everything we build go up in smoke in only minutes. With this go fund me we hope to find a new place to live and also get new clothes and food for the mean time while we try and get help from the city. Thank you for your time.
