For most of you, this will be the first time you are hearing of our struggles with Joey’s health. The few people who know, know we’ve been dealing with this for over a year. Joey has had chronic pain, multiple medications, 5 specialists, MRI’s, X-rays and bloodwork over the past year and the last MRI was on his brain. The results were not what we expected.

Joey has a brain tumor on his pituitary gland that requires surgery. He’s been diagnosed with acromegaly, and has a hormone producing tumor. 

So far in our journey Joey has been going to all his appointments solo while I stay home with our 3 year old daughter Goldie. Now things have changed and I’m going to need to be there for him at doctor’s appointments and surgery.

Being a single income family has its challenges and we are turning to our community for help and support. Literally anything is so appreciated, even $5. We expect to have increased medical costs in the coming months and funds for travel to UC Davis in Sacramento, groceries, emergency hotel stays, and maybe even last minute childcare will be crucial in helping our family as we get through this together.

When we find out more about the tumor, surgery, recovery etc. we will share with you all. I cannot express my gratitude for the outpouring support we’ve received already, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️
