Short Summary
My name is Fernando Gonzalez, and I’m directing Dante, a feature documentary about an ultra-runner attempting the impossible: running 500 miles in just 7 days from Colorado Springs to Moab.
Unfortunately, because of the use of psychedelics, finding a sponsor to fund the film was impossible. We had meetings with every giant brand you can think of and everyone wanted a piece of Dante until they heard he was taking psychedelics. Because of that, this has been all self funded and with the help of our community. Over 50k dollars have been spent on creating something inspiring and informative to show people a story about the power of healing through psychedelics, a community and doing hard shit.
We are raising money to cover essential production costs:
Rental equipment
Travel
Legal teams and Entertainment Lawyers
A colorist and audio engineer along with post production costs.
Reimbursing the costs of production that have been covered in the last year solely by the director.
Every contribution directly supports telling Dante’s story at the highest level.
The Impact
This isn’t just a documentary about running. It’s about what happens when someone takes the hardest road possible to heal themselves and what that teaches us about resilience and transformation.
Your contribution helps shine light on:
The under explored benefits and stigmas of psychedelics for mental health and community healing.
An unprecedented physical feat: 500 miles by a novice runner that will inspire people to be greater.
A deeply human story of rising after failure and finding purpose again.
Other Ways You Can Help
Even if you can’t contribute financially, you can still make a big difference. Share this campaign with your friends, family, and networks. Spread the word on social media. Every share helps build momentum and brings us closer to finishing this film.
Together, we can make Dante more than just a documentary, we can make it a movement.
