Support the Delaney's during Levi's heart transplant journey

The Delaney's are the definition of a strong, resilient family. They are the parents of not one, but two heart warriors. Their daughter is approaching her 10-year anniversary of her heart transplant after she was born with dilated cardiomyopathy. On August 4, 2024, they welcomed their 4th child, Nickolas "Levi" Delaney. He had a normal fetal echo and was cleared by cardiology at two weeks old with a normal echo and EKG. After battling a virus and a couple of trips to the ER for increased work of breathing, Amber knew something wasn't right and pushed for further investigation. On October 30th, they got the news they were never expecting. Levi's heart had grown 3x the size of a normal heart and he was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy just like his older sister. He was transferred to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital where he underwent immediate open-heart surgery to have a ventricular assist device, known as a Berlin Heart, to help his heart function and serve as a bridge to transplant. On November 19th, he was officially listed on the transplant list. He has had many ups and downs while he waits for his new heart, but he has faced every challenge with a bright smile.

Since their admission to Vanderbilt, the Delaney's have made sacrifices none of us can imagine. Amber has only gone back home once, and Nick has continued to work full-time during the week and then make the 2.5-hour drive to Vanderbilt every weekend to see Levi and Amber while taking care of the other 3 kids and life responsibilities. During all of this, their other heart warrior, Neylynn, has had an admission to Vanderbilt and at one point been a few doors down from Levi in ICU.

We want to bless the Delaney's and take away the stress of finances so they can focus on their children. Unfortunately, life goes on outside the hospital walls and bills don't stop. The call for a new heart can come at any time. It could be tomorrow or it could be months from now. The Delaney's continue to push forward and handle each adversity with positivity, faith, and strength we all admire. Let's come together and bless them and show them how much we love and admire them.
