Many of us in the Lake Crystal community are hoping to come along side the De Leon Esqueda family after a terrifying accident on the morning of September 25, 2025.

After dropping her kids off at school, Deisy was making her way out of town when a driver in the oncoming lane crossed the center line and hit her vehicle head on. Miraculously, Deisy did not suffer any life-threatening injuries but did endure chest and leg fractures as well as many cuts and bruises.

Deisy is the manager at the Mankato Echo Food Shelf and selflessly gives her heart and soul into the work that she does for many individuals in Mankato and surrounding communities.

The De Leon Esqueda family also owns and operates On Every Corner, a food truck, that is at many local schools and events around the area including Riverfront Park and the Mayo Clinic Event Center for concerts and MSU Hockey games.

This family is constantly, yet quietly, supporting our Lake Crystal community and many others by donating their time & resources on a regular basis. Although medical expenses are unknown at this time, we are hoping to raise funds that could eventually go towards those bills as well as lost expenses from missing work, covering meals, gas to doctors visits, etc.
