Thank you for visiting the GoFundMe page for the Davis family! My name is Emily Flood, Erik's cousin in Minneapolis, MN. Please join me and their loved ones in supporting them in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene - their third natural disaster in just over a year.

Funds raised will go toward paying for their rent while they rebuild their home, as well as supporting other costs associated with rebuilding and repurchasing furniture/infrastructure.

The Davis' Story:

Erik and Nicole moved to Crystal River, Florida in 2018. The home they found was perfect for them! Right on the water (if you know Erik... that's a must!), easy access to work for Nicole, and a lovely local community. Their daughter Kalli was born in 2021, and Erik's parents Kat and Ted moved up from South Florida the same year to join them in their little slice of heaven off the Gulf.

Then... things got tough. Hurricane Idalia ripped through Crystal River on August 30, 2023. Erik and Nicole's home was completely flooded in the storm surge, ruining all of their possessions and leaving them homeless. Thankfully, Kat and Ted's home survived the assault and the Davis' were able to move in to the guest room while they began efforts to rebuild.

2023 unfortunately wasn't done. On October 12, 2023, a tornado touched down in town, causing further damage and delaying the start to rebuild efforts. Nicole and Kalli, warrior women that they are, were home alone and famously rode it out sheltering in the bath tub.

The family spent 2024 working to renovate and rebuild their home. Their scheduled date to finally move back in was October 1, 2024... but then came Hurricane Helene.

Hurricane Helene hit the coast on September 26, 2024, bringing with her another enormous storm surge. Erik and Nicole's newly-renovated house has again been completely ruined, and this time Kat and Ted's house has also been lost. The family is now homeless and facing starting from the beginning again.
