Baby Dhallendy was born on July 9, 2018 with a congenital heart defect.  After undergoing open heart surgery, he was placed on ECMO (The same type of heart/lung bypass machine Akim was on before his heart transplant).  Despite the heroic efforts of the cardiac ICU team at Children’s hospital, Dhallendy died of organ failure on Sunday, July 22nd.  Dhallendy’s father, a pastor, lives in Haiti with their four children.  Both parents have given me permission to share their story. We are setting this GoFund Me page to raise the necessary funds to support the family during this time of grief.

 
Solimine Funeral homes in Lynn have graciously agreed to offer full funeral services for Dhallendy at no cost to the family.  Solimine Funeral homes will absorb all the expenses related to their services. We will need to cover the costs of a coffin of $500.00 and $1800.00 for the tombstone which is paid directly to the cemetery in Peabody where Dhalendy’s burial will take place. We also need to videotape the funeral and take photos to be sent to Dhallendy’s father and siblings.  We are looking to raise a modest $4000.00 to cover the costs of the casket, burial permit, tombstone and other costs.  All remaining funds, after the burial and funeral expenses will be given to the family.
