The Davidson family has been facing an incredibly difficult and complex year, and they could truly use our support.
Chris has been battling multiple serious health challenges, complicated by a rare combination of autoimmune conditions—Addison’s disease, diabetes, and a severe gastrointestinal illness. The overlap of these conditions has made it extremely difficult for doctors to determine the root cause of his symptoms.
This week, he received a diagnosis of stage 4 cancer. This news is still raw, and they are still processing what this means for the road ahead. Chris will begin chemotherapy treatments Friday, April 17 at Lahey Medical.
Right now, Chris is focusing on taking things one day at a time—continuing to work remotely, and most importantly, spending meaningful time with family and friends.
We know this news is difficult to share, but we also know how much strength comes from the love and support surrounding him. Your continued thoughts, prayers, and support mean everything as he begins this fight.
The repeated ER visits, hospital stays, and ICU care—combined with travel expenses including hotel stays for Auralia and the kids, and time away from work—have created a significant financial burden. Now on top of all that, Chris will be under going Chemotherapy. Although, the family does have medical insurance, there are and will be substantial gaps in coverage, leaving them responsible for many of these overwhelming costs.
If you are able, please consider donating. Any amount, big or small, will go a long way in helping ease the financial and emotional burden they are carrying. Most importantly, your support will remind them that they are not alone during this incredibly challenging time.
Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support. We will continue to share updates as we are able.
