Mrs. Dale Johnson’s life was defined by her love of children and her passion for education. As the owner of her own daycare and child development centers, she nurtured countless young minds, teaching not only academics but also life lessons that propelled many into their success stories. She was an avid supporter of youth, constantly encouraging students to reach higher and further. Generations were inspired by her guidance, and her legacy continues to shine through the lives she touched.
To honor this remarkable woman, her daughter Reverend Dr. Deborah Scarborough and grandchildren Barbara Duncan and Marcus Shields are launching a scholarship fund in Dale Johnson’s honor. This fund will support youth in their career pursuits in early childhood education, beginning in the DC–Maryland–Virginia (DMV) area in 2026.
We are seeking your support to:
- Begin the legal journey of establishing the scholarship.
- Lay the groundwork to select students for the 2026–2027 school year.
- Carry forward Mrs. Johnson’s enduring legacy of mentorship, education, and encouragement.
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us open doors for young scholars and ensures that Mrs. Johnson’s spirit of teaching and inspiration lives on.
Join us in building this foundation of hope, education, and legacy. Together, we can honor Mrs. Dale Johnson’s extraordinary life and empower future generations to reach higher and further.
Thank you for your generosity and belief in this mission!
