6/8/2018 - The Cyr family announces with great sadness the loss of their beloved daughter,
Jennifer Cyr, age 33, on June 7, 2018.  Thank you for all the support and generosity.

Hi, my name is Jessica, i created this GoFundMe campaign in support to my godmother and godfather's family. Here is the story:

Jennifer, loved daughter of Rodolphe Cyr and Francine Lalonde, from Hawkesbury, ON, was born with Spina Bifida and Encephalitis. Since she was born, the doctors said her life expectancy was very low. Thanks for the medical research and advances, she surpassed the doctors diagnostic and is now 33 years old and lived an happy life surrounded by her family and friends. 

Sadly, on May 15th, Jennifer was hospitalized due to an illness. The doctors thought she had a bladder infection. Not long after the diagnostic, Jennifer could barely speak and complete her daily routine that she used to do. After running multiple tests and scans, the diagnostic came up to be much worst than expected. The final diagnostic is "Prion's Disease" which is an infectious disease that cause several fatal neurodegenerative diseases in animals and humans.

Since her hospitalization, Jennifer's parents had to stop working to be by her side at the Ottawa General Hospital. They are currently staying at the Rotel to stay by her side in case anything happens. Because Jennifer was born with health problems, no insurance company would insure with a medical or life insurance. 

All of your support will be much appreciated to cover some of the expenses related to Jennifer's hospitalization. 

Unfortunately, Prion's Disease is a fatal condition to which there is no cure.
