Support the Curran’s!

This is a great privilege and opportunity to support and love our friends The Curran’s. I hope you’ll join us and share this page!
The Curran’s live their life to love and serve others whether it’s through various community projects or just being great friends. And they need our help!
You can read Michelle’s words below but they were surprised this month to find out Liam will need heart surgery very soon! September 28th he will be heading to Stanford & there will be many expenses. On top of hospital bills (which are in the ten to hundred thousands range!) there’s hotel rooms, food etc for at least a week that they’ll be down there. Every little bit helps… even if it’s just buying a coffee for them, as they carry the weight of having their little man go in for heart surgery. Thank you for your willingness to donate! Please let me know if you have any questions!

Some of Michelle’s own words about Liam’s heart surgery….

‘He is our miracle boy. He was 36hrs old when he had his first echocardiogram and we learned he had 2 holes in his heart. We were told consistently in the beginning he’d need open heart surgery before he was 6 months old, but he just defied the odds…appointment after appointment, despite the medium-large ventrical septal defect he has continued to thrive. A week or so ago we got a voicemail telling us Liam had been scheduled for open heart surgery at Stanford September 28th. Initially this came as a huge surprise to us since we hadn’t seen or spoken to his doctor in six months and last we heard surgery would likely be a couple of years off. After the initial shock and emotion, we met with his doctor and it seems it is the best course of action to take and now is the best time. In addition to the holes, he has a piece of tissue that is growing in the wrong direction and the concern is that it is causing too much pressure on his heart and without removal soon it could have long term damage and weaken his heart valve. This isn’t a decision made lightly, a conference of 25 doctors came to this consensus. We have some of the best pediatric cardiothorasic surgeons in the world reviewing his case and for that we are grateful and feel confident. Now there are lots of other logistics that all have to fall into place and honestly all of that part feels overwhelming…but in the midst of it we have felt held. We’d love your prayers for all of the details and logistics-housing, finances, care for kiddos, that we’d miraculously all stay healthy and most importantly peace over our precious little boy (and the big kids too!).’
