CT Sandlot Sluggers (About, The Team, Sponsorship, Fundraising, Contact)

The Sandlot Sluggers unites talented and passionate young athletes from across Connecticut towns embodying the pride of today and the promise of tomorrow. Rooted in hard work, dedication, and team spirit, our players come from diverse towns including Monroe, Fairfield, West Haven and Southbury —each bringing their own story, their own hustle, and their own dream.

In the summer of 2026, we're embarking on an extraordinary week-long adventure as we head to Cooperstown, New York
—the legendary Home of the Baseball Hall of Fame, where dreams come alive.

What Awaits at Cooperstown Dreams Park:

America’s Premier Youth Baseball Experience
Since 1996, Cooperstown Dreams Park has stood as “America’s Baseball Summer Camp,” offering more than just tournaments—it delivers a life-enriching journey that combines competition with tradition and camaraderie.

A Tournament Unlike Any Other
For seven immersive days and six nights, teams play on 22 lighted, real-grass fields nestled within a bustling baseball village, sharing unforgettable moments both on and off the field.

Living the Bunk Life: Team Bonding Off the Field
One of the most unique aspects of Dreams Park is the bunkhouse experience. For the entire week, players live together in team cabins on-site—sharing bunks, meals, and downtime away from their families. This independence helps our athletes grow as teammates and individuals. Whether they’re trading pins, playing cards, telling stories before lights out, or celebrating a big win, the bunkhouse life builds friendships that last long after the tournament ends. Sleeping under the same roof, side by side, creates a brotherhood that strengthens their teamwork on the field and creates memories they’ll carry forever.

Tradition, Values & Legacy
Players and coaches are inducted into the American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame and awarded the coveted Hall of Fame ring—symbols that connect them to the legacy of the game’s greatest moments.

Real Baseball, Real Memories
Games are played with no time limits, skill contests bring added excitement (“King of Swat,” “Golden Arm,” and more), and the atmosphere pulses with fun, competition, and sportsmanship

History and Heritage
Just steps away, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum and historic Doubleday Field await—inviting our team to connect with the roots of the game in Cooperstown.

Life-Changing Moments
Cooperstown inspires players to dream big, embrace failure, rise again—and believe that “failure 7 out of 10 times still places you among the greats.” It’s a reminder that character, courage, and perseverance define success.

Why This Matters for Our Team
The upcoming tournament isn’t just a chance to play—it’s a transformative experience:
  • Team Bonding & Growth - Sharing cabins, meals, and moments on the field, our team will forge bonds that go beyond wins and losses.

  • Cultural Exchange & Camaraderie - Facing teams from across the U.S., pin trading, and engaging with peers adds a meaningful social and cultural dimension.

  • A Story to Tell for a Lifetime - From the ceremony under fireworks to receiving Hall of Fame rings, these are memories that will live forever—not just for our players, but for families, coaches, and supporters alike.

In Summary:
At Cooperstown Dreams Park, our young athletes will play, learn, grow, and belong—on fields that breathe history, in a place where dreams meet tradition. This week will shape their love for the game, friendships, and confidence in ways a regular season never could. This week will deliver core memories that will last a life time.
