On September 23rd at 4:30am tragedy struck our little shop, The Crystal Guide, in Portland. A propane explosion badly damaged our space at Springwater Cart Park, the place that has been our home for nearly five years and a gathering spot for our community of artists, healers and crystal lovers.
Thankfully, no one was injured, but the damage is severe. Walls, displays and inventory-much of what makes the shop what it is-have been destroyed. After pouring years of love, energy and resources into creating a space that brought clarity, energy and design to so many, it’s heartbreaking to see it in ruins.
Why we need your help:
Insurance will not cover everything we’ve lost. Rebuilding will require replacing inventory, repairing the shop and restoring the safe, welcoming environment our community has come to know and love.
How funds will be used:
-clean up and repair of the shop space
-replacement of lost/damaged crystal inventory and displays
-Support to cover operating expenses while the shop is closed
-Helping us keep the Saturday Makers Market alive for our vendors and local artists
This store has always been about more than crystals-it’s about community, healing and connection. Every dollar, share and kind word helps bring us one step closer to reopening and continuing to serve you all.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of this journey and for helping us rebuild. Your support means everything.
