As many of you know, the Crews family has been devastated by the flash flooding that occurred in Eustis, Florida on Sunday, October 26. Their home—located outside a designated flood zone—sustained severe damage when a freak thunderstorm dumped nearly 20 inches of rain in just a matter of a few short hours. The flooding destroyed all downstairs flooring, the bottom two feet of drywall, and the lower kitchen cabinets. In addition, during demolition, workers discovered the entire house needed to be re-piped, forcing them to gut an upstairs bathroom as well. The repairs keep growing more extensive—and more expensive.
The Southern Baptist Disaster Relief organization has been incredibly helpful during the demo process; however, without flood insurance (which wasn't required), the family must now cover all costs of repairs out of pocket.
Cameron is a Lieutenant with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and further serves the community by coaching youth baseball in the Mount Dora Babe Ruth League. His wife, Sherry Jo, homeschools their three beautiful children.
Please consider donating to help this wonderful family as they repair their home and try to return to a sense of normalcy in their lives. Every dollar makes a difference.
Thank you.
