I have been invited to be part of a Book Arts show at GA Gallery in Portland. The opening is March 7. I have decided to turn my post-election rant into a 32-page chapbook with 16 new color drawings that speak to the fear, disgust, outrage, anxiety, and desperation we are all feeling as this heinous posse of ethicless oligarchs takes over OUR country. The book will be called WAITING TO HATE. The book will also speak to the tiny peeps of hope we feel just because we are alive.

In order to fund this book, which will be hot off the press at the March 7 opening--in order to hire and appropriately pay a book designer (Robin Chilstrom, who designed Brontosaurus Illustrated)--and to pay for publishing the book through Robin's micro-press, I am asking for your help. There is really no time to apply for a grant. I could use the $86 I made from my poetry last week, but, well, it's not quite enough [harhar]. Oh, I wonder if Elon will loan me some money.

I also plan to make posters and frame some of the original drawings for the show. Of course, if you donate, you will receive a book.
