Hello, My name is Mattison Sinnett and I am raising funds to help support the creation of the "Skaha Aquatic Club" in the City of Penticton. This club will be a Non Profit Organization focused on the sport of Flatwater Canoe/Kayak, which are Olympic events. This club will also cater to recreational paddlers for both youth and adults. The club will be also geared toward strong community involvement both with the Penticton Indian Band and Osoyoos Indian Band as well as local schools groups and other programs. Everyone is welcome!

Donations received will help go toward initial start up equipment as well as funds to create the actual club boathouse building. Penticton is set to host the BC Summer Games in 2028 and the timing is perfect to get started to have local athletes compete in these disciplines.

Penticton previously had an canoe/kayak club from 1913-1952 on Okanagan Lake which by historic accounts came to a close after World War 2. I am looking to recreate this magnificent community asset back in Penticton to promote healthy water sport for all. The Okanagan is extremely fortunate to be surrounded by many beautiful lakes and I am looking to get more people out on non motorized watercraft and enjoying the outdoors and engaging in fitness.
