Champion an Artist's Game

I'm an artist by training and a worker by necessity. I graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago with a passion for design, but I quickly learned that an art degree doesn't guarantee an easy career. To make ends meet, I've done it all: factory work, late-night janitorial shifts, and washing dishes. No matter the job, I never stopped designing and thinking about creative projects.

Everything changed when I started delivery driving. For the first time, I had a job that gave me freedom and autonomy. I was my own boss, managing my own routes and time. That independence was huge, and it gave me the mental space to pursue a new passion.

While living in Reno, I dove head-first into learning game development. I taught myself how to code and use game engines, pouring all my creative energy into building digital worlds. It clicked immediately—this was the career I wanted.

The idea for this game came to me during a long drive back to Chicago to help my family through a tough time. On that trip, it all came together: I should build a game about my own experiences. I combined my background in art, my new skills in game development, and the one job that gave me freedom: delivery driving.

I was ready to go all-in on development, but then I hit a major roadblock. I suddenly lost both my job and my car, cutting off my only source of income. Now, I'm facing a hard deadline.

This game is my way forward. It’s a project built from real-life experience, capturing the grind and the freedom of being on the open road. I have the skills and the vision, but I'm running out of time. Your support directly funds my living expenses so I can work full-time on this project. It buys me the time I need to code, design, and finish this game before my savings run out.

This is my chance to build a new path for myself and for the people who have believed in me. Thank you for reading my story and considering being a part of building this world with me

The Road Ahead: My Development Plan
This game is more than just an idea; it's already in development. Your support will provide the crucial runway I need to cross the finish line. Here is the plan to turn this vision into a finished game:

Phase 1: Securing the Foundation (Immediate Goal - Est. [e.g., Next 1-6 Months])

Current Status: The core mechanics (like [e.g., driving physics, delivery system, main character controls]) are already prototyped.

What Your Support Funds: This will cover essential living costs and software licenses, allowing me to work full-time on development.

Immediate Milestone: Complete the [e.g., "Alpha Build"] with a stable, playable core game loop and the main city map.

Phase 2: Building the World (Short-Term Goal - Est. [e.g., 6-11 Months])

Key Features: My focus will shift to building out the game's content. This includes:

Implementing the main story quests.

Designing and adding [e.g., X number] of side missions.

Finalizing the art style and character models.

Milestone: A polished [e.g., "Vertical Slice" or "Backer-Only Demo"] that showcases the full experience of the game's core systems.

Phase 3: Polishing and Release (Mid-Term Goal - Est. [e.g., 11-16 Months])

Tasks: This final phase is all about quality. I will focus on extensive bug-testing, sound design, music integration, and optimizing the game for performance.

Milestone: A feature-complete [e.g., "Beta Release"] for final testing.

Target: Launch the full game on [e.g., Steam, itch.io, etc.]

Phase 4: The Future (Long-Term Vision)

Beyond Release: This project is my passion, and I have ideas for future updates, such as [e.g., new vehicle types, expanded story DLC, New Jobs, new cities to explore]. These can be explored as stretch goals or post-launch content.
