Support the Council of European Grandmothers to Bring Their Wisdom to Ireland

We, the Friends of the Council of European Grandmothers supported by the Dundalk Women’s Shed, are raising €3,500 to support members of the Council of European Grandmothers - whilst in Ireland - to Share their Ancient Wisdom, Healing Presence, Nurturing the importance of preserving Ancestral Wisdom in the light of present- day knowledge, and creating Matriarchs within our communities to hold this wisdom.

These remarkable elder women are part of a growing International movement committed to Preserving Ancestral Traditions, Restoring Our Connection to the Earth, and Empowering Future Generations with Wisdom.

Grandmothers hold a wealth of Wisdom/Knowledge accumulated over generations, including traditional practices, ecological understanding, and cultural values related to the environment.

The European Grandmothers are a totally voluntary group who come together to share, and protect the teachings from their diverse cultures passed down through generations, internally and with the people of the countries they visit. Their work is rooted in care, compassion, and sacred feminine wisdom — a voice the world needs now more than ever.

Why we need your help

This year, we are honoured to host members of the Council here in Ireland. Their visit will include sharing circles, intergenerational workshops, and quiet powerful moments of reconnection - with nature, with each other, and with the deeper wisdom that lives within us all.

We are seeking to raise €3,500 towards essential expenses to make their journey possible. Every donation, no matter the size, will directly support:

• Transport

• A warm, welcoming space to gather and share

• Meals during their stay

• Materials for workshops and community events
