Support the Cortez Family After Tragic Loss

On May 3rd, 2025, the Cortez family suffered an unimaginable tragedy. Our beloved Courtney, Cody, and Dan were taken from us in a devastating motorcycle accident caused by a drunk driver. In one heartbreaking moment, we lost a daughter, son, father, uncle, niece, nephew, sister, brother, grandchildren, and friends.

Courtney was a bright light—kind, loving, and full of life. She was a daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend whose presence made every room warmer.

Cody had a heart of gold, always ready to help and lift others up. He was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend who brought joy and laughter wherever he went.

Dan was a pillar in our family—steady, generous, and deeply loved. He was a father, son, brother, uncle, and friend who meant the world to those around him.

In addition to this devastating loss, our loved one Joan—a mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend—is currently in the hospital recovering from injuries sustained in the same accident. We are holding onto hope and praying for her healing.

As we grieve and try to support one another, we’re also facing the financial burden of funeral costs, medical expenses, and time away from work. We’re reaching out to our community for help—whether through donations, sharing this page, or simply keeping us in your thoughts.
