Support Nelson Collado's Family in Their Time of Loss

My name is Danielle Collado.

My dad, Nelson Collado, was a devoted family man, loving husband & father of two, a proud sergeant for the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, the cornerstone of our family, and the head of our household. He was a pillar of strength, love, and kindness in our lives. Before his hospitalization, he was a healthy, active, and vibrant man who had so much to look forward to.

Tragically, everything changed when he suddenly began experiencing severe symptoms, including painful headaches, high fevers, confusion, difficulty speaking, and physical weakness. Despite the efforts of his medical team, no definitive diagnosis could be made, leaving us heartbroken and without closure.

During his time in the hospital, my dad endured incredible hardship and invasive procedures, eventually leading to his reliance on life support and a ventilator as his condition quickly deteriorated.

This eventually led to his sudden and untimely passing on December 28, 2024.

The uncertainty of his illness and the inability to pinpoint its cause made the situation even more devastating for our family.

Every contribution, no matter how small, is a meaningful step toward helping our family navigate through this painful chapter. We are deeply grateful for your kindness and generosity during this time of loss.
