Support the Cole Family After Hurricane Helene Devastation

My name is Rylie Stogryn, my sisters and I are reaching out to share the devastating toll that Hurricane Helene has taken on our parents and their home. Last night, the storm ravaged the city of Treasure Island, Florida, flooding the entire island and displacing countless families, including our own. While we are deeply relieved that both of our parents are safe, their home, which they spent nearly a decade lovingly renovating, has suffered extensive damage.

This loss feels especially heavy because they had only just finished making their house into their dream home. Over the past few years, they tirelessly traveled back and forth between Florida and North Carolina to care for their own aging parents, who themselves were recovering from a previous hurricane and a house fire. Despite the immense burden they carried during that time, they managed to pour their love and effort into their own home, slowly updating it piece by piece. It was meant to be a sanctuary for them—a place to finally rest after years of caring for others.

Unfortunately, the widespread destruction caused by the storm means their flood insurance may take months to provide the help they need. The thought of them having to start over, after so much sacrifice and hard work, is incredibly painful.

Our parents have given so much of themselves to us, to our grandparents, and to others. Now, as they face this overwhelming challenge, we want more than anything to be able to support them in any way we can. Any assistance you could provide to help them rebuild would mean the world to our family. The funds will be spent on mold and water damage/remediation and the replacement of damaged items.
