My sister, her husband, and their fur babies experienced a terrible and unexplained explosion in their home on January 23, 2026. Tragically, they lost one of their dogs, Kenzie, who was a deeply loved member of their family.

The explosion destroyed nearly everything they own—priceless family photos, clothing, furniture, and so much more. On top of this heartbreaking loss, my sister is a new business owner and the founder of The Coffee Barn, one of Tooele’s new favorite coffee spots. This has been an unimaginable setback during what should have been an exciting time of growth and new beginnings.

They are some of the most kind and giving people you will ever meet and would do anything for anyone. They would never ask for help themselves, but as their family, we are asking on their behalf. Any donation, no matter the amount, would help them begin to cover expenses and replace what can be replaced.
