In September 2025, my life changed dramatically when I was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. Since then, I have been unable to work and am facing a long road to recovery. I’ve applied for disability benefits because I’ve lost much of my muscle strength and can no longer walk or sit for any length of time. The uncertainty of my health and future has been overwhelming, especially as I try to support my wife and our two children.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have health insurance at the time of my surgery, and the medical bills alone have become overwhelming. On top of that, our regular bills—house payments, insurance, utilities, and credit cards—have been piling up. We’re now behind on almost everything, and I worry every day about keeping a roof over our heads and the lights on for my family. The calls from debt collectors are constant, and I’ve run out of ideas and places to turn.

We are hoping to raise enough to cover our daily living expenses, catch up on our house payments and utilities, and get some relief from the mountain of medical debt.
