It is with deep sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Maurice Antwan Clanton, Jr., the beloved son of Maurice A. Clanton, Sr. and Satoya Clanton, at the tender age of 19.

Maurice transitioned unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, while swimming in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Maurice was freshman in college. He was full of dreams and ambition, with a passion for music and for people. As a member of the East Hamilton High School Marching Band and the Madison Scouts, a Drum Corps International (DCI) band, he excelled and inspired those around him to strive for excellence, not just in music, but in life.

Maurice’s legacy lives on through his passion, dedication, and the many lives he touched.

The Clanton Family is deeply grateful for your love and support over the last several days.

In this difficult time, they are faced with the additional financial burdens that come with preparing to celebrate Maurice's life and legacy.
