The Campaign Story

Why This Mission is Personal to Me

Hello everyone,

My name is SSG Ryan Inabnet, (RET) and this mission is deeply personal to me. I am a combat veteran, and I had the honor of serving on the front lines during our 2007–2008 deployment to Afghanistan with the founder of the Saber Six Foundation.

During that deployment, on July 27, 2007, in Kunar Province, our unit was hit hard. I served on a Quick Reaction Team called out to reinforce our brothers pinned down by heavy insurgent fire. Under intense rocket-propelled grenade and small-arms attacks, we fought to stabilize, load, and evacuate our wounded, successfully saving more than a dozen soldiers' lives. For those actions, I was humbled to be awarded the Bronze Star with Valor.

We survived the battlefield, but transitioning back to civilian life is a silent war that many of our service members are fighting alone. That is why I am actively involved in the Saber Six Foundation. I know firsthand what it means to carry the heavy weight of combat home. Saber Six doesn't just help veterans manage post-combat stress—we give them the tools, the lifelong mentorship, and the powerful brotherhood to transform that trauma into lasting personal growth.

Our $20,000 Goal

I have set a fundraising goal of $20,000 to directly fund our foundation’s core initiatives, including the Ever-Better Program, our veteran scholarships, and our critical unit reunions that bring combat families back together. Because Saber Six is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, 100% of your donation goes directly to the foundation and is completely tax-deductible.

Your generosity will directly provide:

The Tools to Thrive: Underwriting the curriculum, resources, and mentorship veterans need to process trauma and rebuild fulfilling lives.
Reconnecting the Combat Family: Funding adventures and reunions that bring units who fought together back together, restoring the strongest support network a soldier will ever know.
Zero Cost to Heroes: Ensuring that every single program, retreat, and resource remains completely free of charge for the veterans who need them.
How You Can Stand with Us

We fought for our country overseas, and now we are fighting for our brothers and sisters here at home. You can help us win this battle:

Donate: Whether it is $5, $50, or $500, every dollar goes directly toward giving a veteran their future back.
