Sad News – In Loving Memory of Huijuk Choe
Hello King Tiger Families,
This is Master Park, and I want to share some very sad news with you all.
As many of you know, one of our students and instructors, Daniel Choe, is a 4th Degree Black Belt who has volunteered his time every summer to help our students.
Daniel’s older sister, Huijuk Choe, was only 28 years old.
She was an MSTU graduate, a former math teacher at Oakland, Central Magnet, and most recently a teacher at Riverdale High School.
About a month ago, her family learned she had a large tumor in her liver.
Sadly, her condition progressed too quickly for treatment, and her family had to say goodbye far too soon. Huijuk passed away yesterday.
This heartbreaking loss is difficult for all who knew her, and we ask that you please keep Daniel and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this painful time.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 4:30 PM at:
Woodfin Funeral Chapels
1488 Lascassas Pike #1600
Murfreesboro, TN 37140
For those who would like to help support the Choe family as they face this difficult time and financial challenges, a GoFundMe link will help them a lot.
With deepest sympathy,
