“Any time you have an opportunity to make a difference in this world and you don’t, then you are wasting your time on Earth.”— Roberto Clemente
If you’re reading this, you’re family, a friend… or both :)
I trust and hope that you are well and not suffering from food insecurity, environmental catastrophes, or unemployment, as so many of our fellow countrymen are as we write this.
It's hard to ask with so much pain in the world but we are doing so for an amazing and worthy cause.
Next week, Squeaky is going on our next trip to support El Remar Orphanage In El Salvador. Remar is home to orphaned children and teenagers who have survived countless neglect during the country's rise from a gang-ruled environment to a more democratic country where safety is now approachable.
For nearly 10 years, we’ve been inspired by the incredible work of Mary González, the orphanage's director, and her team, who provide a safe haven where children receive food, education, housing, and emotional support to recover from their trauma. Since meeting Mary, supporting Remar has become a personal commitment for all of us at Squeaky.
With your help, we’ve been able to make meaningful changes:
- Food security
- Clean Water
- Ensuring consistent access to electricity and utilities
- Books and learning supplies
- Providing new school uniforms and supplies
- Installing security systems
- Building a new workshop facility
- Rehabilitating a pool for safe use
This trip is about continuing that impact. Every donation, big or small helps create a brighter future for these children. If you’re able, please consider contributing or sharing this fundraiser link to your circles.
Together, we can help more children learn, grow, and dream of a future full of opportunity. To all those who donated, thank you for your kindness. You make the world a better place.
– Anthony & the Squeaky team
