The Remembering Water film screening on July 8th at 6pm at the PO Box Collective in Rogers Park is raising funds in support of Chicago Torture Justice Memorials Foundation (CTJMF).
CTJMF is both a fundraising and project management entity focused exclusively on seeing the Burge torture survivors memorial into existence. Formed by torture survivors and organizers from the #ReparationsWon movement, CTJMF operates with the goal of obtaining full funding for and constructing the memorial.
We invite you to join us to watch this short film by filmmaker and activist Tom Callahan and have a conversation about the Chicago Torture Justice Memorials Foundation's work and the larger movements in the city and beyond for collective liberation.
