The Catio Cat Lounge, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Nashville, is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming cats and kittens from high-kill shelters and the streets. As the largest-capacity catio in the U.S., we are often the first call for senior and special-needs cats in urgent need of placement. Since opening in 2019, we have found loving homes for over 6,000 cats and become a beloved resource for animal lovers across Middle Tennessee and beyond.

During our recent remodel, we were closed for over a month, which caused our operations to suffer. Even though we were closed for business, we still had to pay for food, litter, medical expenses, payroll, insurance, and electric. When we reopened, we were hit again with $4,800 in two critical vet bills and $1,150 to replace broken appliances.

We are calling on compassionate individuals and businesses to help sustain our vital work. The only thing that keeps us going through these setbacks is the generous support of our community.

Here’s how your donation can make an impact:

$5,500: One month of rent

$2,000: One employee’s salary for a month

$1,000: One month of utilities

$750: A week of food and litter for all resident cats

$500: Emergency vet visit

$100: Medical care for a new rescue

Our goal is to raise $50,000 to stabilize operations and recover these unexpected costs. Every gift, large or small, brings us one step closer to keeping this safe haven open for the cats who need it most.
