Help The Casual Cat Café Become a Permanent Community Fixture!

For the past several years, The Casual Cat Café has been a place where people can relax, connect, and spend time with wonderful cats in a calm and welcoming environment. Our little place has become more than just a business — it’s a community space for cat lovers, friends, families, and people who simply need a peaceful moment with a purring companion.

But like many small businesses, we’ve been facing a challenge.

Over the past three years alone, our rent has increased by more than $800 per month. In addition, there are several updates that the building needs and some which could save us costs in the future but are not feasible investments when we are only given the option of 1 year lease agreements each year. This makes it difficult for us to plan long-term and threatens the stability of the environment we’ve worked hard to build.

Our Goal

Revised! - Initially the main goal of the fundraiser was to purchase our existing space after we saw the owner listed it for sale months prior (without telling us). However, they took it off the market after we expressed interest in buying and as of September 30, 2026 would not renew our lease. We currently have no space to operate in and are desperately seeking a new location to carry on our mission. GoFundMe funds will be used to secure a new location.

Why This Matters

Our rescue partners have lost a great outlet to allow their cats to be seen for adoption while our customers have lost their cozy chill space to unwind with cats.

Your support helps ensure that this special place — with a mission of getting unwanted cats healthy and into happy homes — can continue to exist.
