Help the Castillo Family Rebuild After Devastating Fire
On January 20, 2026, a sudden and devastating two-alarm fire broke out at an apartment complex on the 1600 block of Kirkland Drive in Sunnyvale, CA, displacing dozens of families and destroying homes in its path.
Among those affected is Carlos Castillo and his family — hardworking and generous members of our community — who lost virtually everything in the blaze. In the chaos and destruction, their home was severely damaged, and all of their personal belongings — from furniture and clothing to cherished family memories — were lost in the fire. With the emotional toll of this tragedy already immense, the financial burden of rebuilding their lives is overwhelming.
Although no one was physically injured, Carlos and his loved ones now face the harsh reality of starting over with no home and limited resources. The American Red Cross and local organizations are providing immediate help, but long-term support is urgently needed as the Castillos look for stable housing and begin to replace essentials for their family.
Please consider donating to help Carlos & his family:
• Find temporary housing they can afford
• Replace clothing, furniture, and basic household items
• Cover unforeseen expenses like security deposits, transportation, and daily needs
• Give them peace of mind and stability after this traumatic loss
Every donation — no matter the size — will make a meaningful difference. Your support helps this family focus on healing, recovery, and rebuilding their life after a tragedy none of them could have anticipated.
Thank you for your generosity, compassion, and support.
