I am raising funds for my brother-in-law, Nathan, and my sister, Jessica as Nathan is fighting cancer.
On Thursday, September 5th, he went to the emergency room at Thedacare in Appleton, WI where he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. This is a fast-acting and aggressive cancer. Because of that, he was immediately transported via ambulance to the ICU at Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee. This took both Nathan and Jess by surprise as only three days earlier he was thought to only have pneumonia.
After two days in the ICU, he was moved to a more comfortable room in Froedert's Advanced Care Center where he will stay until at least the end of September.
Nathan completed one week of non-stop chemo on Saturday, September 14th. Thankfully, reports are good and now he is recovering and rebuilding strength as the amazing medical staff at Froedert monitor how he is doing. We are praying that the chemo worked to the strongest degree.
All that being said, even with good health insurance, costs add up... big time. $15k is just a fraction of the total costs, but it includes deductibles as well as money not covered in part-time disability among a few other things.
They have seen God's faithfulness, even through this difficult and jarring trial and are continuing to place their trust in Him.
First and foremost, Nathan and Jess welcome your prayers, but should you feel led to give, that is most welcome.
Thanks for you time and contributions.
