Help the Casas Family Honor the Life of Enrique Casas

On Sunday, November 2, 2025, our dear friend Enrique Casas passed away at just 47 years old. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend — known for his incredible work ethic, his quiet strength, and the love he poured into his family and our community. Enrique worked tirelessly to provide for his family, often putting his own wellbeing aside to make sure they had what they needed. His sudden passing has left his loved ones heartbroken, facing the unimaginable challenge of life without him, and an enormous financial burden on them.
Earlier this fall, Enrique began to feel unwell. On October 2, his son Luis drove him to the emergency room after noticing swelling in his legs and pain in his knee. What began as a simple concern quickly revealed something far more serious. After days of testing, doctors discovered scarring and inflammation in his liver, and cancer that had gone undetected for years. His liver and kidneys were no longer functioning properly, causing fluid to build up in his body.
Despite following the doctors’ orders and taking every step he could to recover, Enrique’s health declined rapidly. Within weeks, he was readmitted to the hospital several times, and eventually to the ICU, where doctors found that he was suffering from a severe infection, internal bleeding, and liver failure. Surrounded by his family, Enrique passed on November 2, 2025.
Enrique leaves behind his wife, his son Luis working to complete his degree from Sonoma State University, and two daughters — Allyson in 7th grade at Healdsburg Junior High and Melissa who is a freshman at Chico State University.
This GoFundMe is being set up on behalf of the Casas family to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, as well as to provide financial support in the months ahead as they adjust to this new reality.

Visitation & Rosary will be on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 between 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church - 208 Matheson St, Healdsburg, CA 95448
Funeral Mass & Burial will be on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. also at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with a burial to follow at Oak Mound Cemetery, 601 Piper St, Healdsburg, CA 95448
