Support the Cartwright Family After Randy's Passing

If you knew Randy, he had such a generous heart for others. His love language was definitely a wonderful gift giver. If you received a gift from Randy, you knew he had put a lot of thought into it because he wanted you to know you were loved. As we find ourselves navigating this tragic loss, I ask, if you feel led, or if you too, have been a receiver of Randy's generosity, to give what you can to help with the financial expenses of his funeral or future needs of his family through this difficult time.

My name is Seth Fleming. My wife is Brittany Fleming, the daughter of Randy and Pam Cartwright. Our family celebrated the life of Pam's father, Michael Smith, who had passed this last December. Fast forward a couple of months later, we unexpectedly found ourselves celebrating the life of Randy's father, Glen Cartwright, who had been under the care of Randy, Pam, and Brittany's brothers for 6 years in their home.

Two months later, this past Thursday, I received a phone call from my wife that I was completely not prepared for. With unimaginable pain and through her cries, she shared that her dad, Randy, had suddenly passed away at the age of 64. As I sit here with my family, trying to plan arrangements, sift through finances, gather pictures, etc., I can't help but think that we shouldn't be doing this yet. Randy had so much more life to live with his beloved wife, Pam. They had talked about plans to move down to Alabama together and celebrate their retirement. He was eager to finally be able to live out his dreams and future with his wife. This shocking and painful season we are in reminds me that we are never promised tomorrow and that you never know when the last time will be the last time. Cherish every moment you have with the ones you love most.

Our family appreciates all of the meals that have been provided, the kind words, and support from our family and friends as we try to find courage, strength, and hope. Many of you have said, "If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask." I find myself having such a difficult time finding the answer to this question during this time. We are all taking things one day at a time. Thank you for your love and care. We greatly appreciate it.
