My extended family - Tom, Lil, their children, Ben and Julia - recently suffered a devastating loss. This Thanksgiving weekend, a fire spread rapidly in their house. They are grateful for the policemen and firefighters who responded quickly to save their home, and ensuring the family was safe. While we are deeply thankful that no one was harmed, their house and nearly all of their belongings suffered significant loss. The challenging road ahead may take up to a year before they can return home, a place where they created warm memories for the past 30 years!

Tom, Lil, Ben and Julia are all kindhearted, hard-working, and involved within their church, schools and community, and would always extend a helping hand. With trust in their faith, they remain hopeful and strong in spirit. They are not the type to ask for help, but many of us have been searching for ways to support them as they navigate through this sudden life-changing event. Any contribution will go a long way in helping them with necessary items, immediate expenses and in regaining their footing after a devastating event. Thankfully, Tom’s brother, Mike, has welcomed them into his home while they work to secure temporary housing. Every contribution, prayer, and kind word makes an incredible difference and are greatly appreciated during this tragic time.
