On Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, our family experienced something no one should ever have to go through. At around 6:00 a.m., we were suddenly woken up by federal marshals and ICE agents. Without warning or time to open the door, our front entrance was broken open forcefully.
During the chaos, Arnoldo Carrillo was aggressively restrained, hit and strangled, despite offering no resistance. The rest of our family—including our parents—was dragged out of the house. Despite asking many times to see federal paperwork, ICE refused to show any during the raid.
ICE showed no compassion, even though three of the five people present are U.S. citizens. Now, just five days later, we are facing four separate court cases, as ICE is claiming our family showed “resistance and aggression.”
This situation has deeply affected us all. My sister, who has diabetes, and my mother, who has ongoing health conditions, were both terrified but complied without any aggression. My younger brother, a minor, is still shaken from what happened that morning and is still not with his older siblings.
We are now doing everything we can to defend our loved ones — but we need help. The costs of hiring four separate lawyers to represent each family member are more than we can handle alone.
The Carrillo family is a Christian family who has always believed in helping others and giving back to the community we’re part of. Two of the affected family members are AJEC leaders who dedicate their time to mentoring youth, organizing faith-based events, and supporting families in need. Our faith has always guided us — and in this moment, we’re holding onto it more than ever.
Any donation, big or small, will go directly toward legal fees to ensure everyone receives fair representation and justice.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading our story and supporting our family during this devastating time. Your help means more than words can express.
Please share this fundraiser to help us reach as many people as possible.
