Hello everyone, I’m Celeste, Danielle’s best friend. Dani and Anthony were blessed with a beautiful 9lb baby girl on June 20th, 2025.
Baby Carelli was first rushed into the NICU for respiratory distress that led to dangerously low vital stats. At the same time, she was struggling to eat and eventually needed a feeding tube. At just a few days old, she acquired a 103.1° fever and needed a spinal tap and blood draw for cultures to rule out serious infection. Thankfully, as of today, she has been cleared of infection, although she’s not graduated from tube feeding and an end is not yet in sight. All of this has happened while Danielle is supposed to be recovering from a cesarean section and the multiple postpartum symptoms brought on by chronic illness. This has taken an ever-increasing emotional toll on herself and the family, to say the least.
Danielle was induced at 38 weeks, with Lupus, hypertension, and gestational diabetes making her pregnancy high risk. The induction ended in a cesarean section and despite the precautions taken, she suffered from preeclampsia. During an ultrasound to diagnose the condition, doctors were alarmed to find a suspicious lesion on her liver. It’s been one blow after another for Danielle, and extremely stressful for her and her loved ones.
Dani lost her job while heavily pregnant, leading to unforeseen financial hurdles and now with their baby girl being in the NICU, I’d like to help ease some of the monetary burden for them. The costs, including basic cost of living, gas money for the 30-minute one-way drive to go see her, parking fees, food bought during visits, and other medical expenses, are adding up quicker than expected.
Please help me support this family! Anything you choose to donate is sincerely appreciated, even a share would mean so much.
