Help The Card Shop Recover from Flood Damage
Hello, everyone.
I never imagined having to do something like this, but sometimes life throws unexpected challenges our way, and we need the support of our community. My name is Roberto, but most people call me "Rob." I am Jorge's brother and uncle to JP, the two dedicated owners of The Card Shop in Harlingen, TX.
Last night, Harlingen was hit hard by severe storms and heavy rainfall, leading to devastating flooding in several areas—including my brother’s shop. The Card Shop was flooded, causing significant damage to the store and ruining thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise. This business is not just a shop; it’s my brother’s livelihood—how he provides for his family and keeps his dream alive.
If you've ever visited The Card Shop, you know that Jorge and JP have built more than just a business—they’ve created a community. They go above and beyond, offering programs that encourage kids to stay in school by rewarding them with cards for good grades, as well as hosting trade nights to bring collectors together in a safe and welcoming space.
With the unexpected losses from this storm, it will take a lot for them to recover and rebuild. I’m asking for your help—any donation, big or small, will make a huge difference in helping my brother and nephew get back on their feet. Even $1 goes a long way in supporting this family-run business and the community it serves.
Thank you so much for your time, kindness, and generosity. Let’s rally together to help The Card Shop come back stronger than ever!
With gratitude,
Rob
