Update from Beverley:
Thank you to all who have donated and shared. People like you are the ones who make a fundraiser successful.

I have found a house that is for rent that is perfect for my family. Now I have to complete the application process. If all goes well, my family will be back under one roof again.

Please continue to support us.

Just before the new 2024-25 school year was to start, the Campbell/King family was struck by a tragic house fire. It left the home completely inhabitable and all possessions destroyed by fire, smoke and soot. Beverley and her 3 children, Che, Nasir, and Ty’laé lost everything they owned in the blink of an eye. Thankfully, the family and their animals were all safe but now they are trying to rebuild their lives.

The family will need to find a new home to rent in town and replace all of their possessions. They lost everything; every room in the home was destroyed. They will need to replace all of their small kitchen appliances, pot, pans, dishes, etc. They lost everything in the bedrooms and bathrooms: clothing, shoes, coats, bedding, sheets. All of their furniture will need to be replaced, as well as all of their electronics, computers, printers…

For those of you with children, you can imagine how difficult this time is for a single mom with two high school boys. Beverly is struggling to stay focused on work while looking for a home to rent in Mountain House. Che is trying to enjoy the last trimester of pregnancy with her first child. Tylae is trying to get his bearings as a freshman which is hard enough on its own. And for anyone familiar with Mountain House High School football, you are aware that this is an important year for Nasir as he finishes up his last year of high school football and is working hard in hopes to continue on to college ball.

To our Mountain House community who have watched these boys grow up, we need your help as they go through this difficult time. As we can’t replace the precious mementos of their childhoods and memories, we are trying to help them replace the things that will help give our friends a sense of normalcy again.
