For the last two weeks, the Byrd family has spent their days and nights in the hospital in Peoria while Mackenzie recovers. During this time they have been eating out frequently since they are not close enough to home. Mackenzie had a short stay at home overnight before she was taken back to Peoria for emergent surgery. At this time they are unsure of how long Mackenzie's recovery will take.
