This is something I don't think anyone is ever prepared to do... But here we are.

Our grandson, Elliott, is only three years old. He's already fighting the toughest battle of his life. After months and months of worrying about his health, leaving doctor visits with no clear answers, and many sleepless nights, we finally got the news that every parent can only hope and pray they never have to hear. "Your child has cancer."

Elliott was just diagnosed with leukemia. We're all heartbroken.

The doctors are still running tests to figure out exactly what kind of leukemia he has and how far it has advanced. He is currently in Akron Children's Hospital in the ICU and has had 4 blood transfusions. They're also having a hard time keeping his fever at bay. They will be preparing him for chemo treatments and will be putting in a port soon. I will try to update as we know more.

We're hoping to raise money to help my daughter and her fiancé with the extra expenses that come with a cancer diagnosis. Things like meals, gas for driving back and forth to the hospital, and whatever bills and expenses might come up in this hard journey.

Elliott is a loving and sweet boy who lights up the room with his smile. He loves playing with his toys, watching his favorite cartoons, and cuddling with his mommy,daddy, stuffed animals and his dog Winnie.
