Support the Butler union as they fight for a fair contract.

My name is Robert Misurelli. I am a registered nurse who worked at Butler Hospital for almost 12 years. The union staff of Butler Hospital are currently on strike due to poor working conditions including low wages and increasing levels of violence due to poor staffing. Butler Hospital is unwilling to come to the negotiating table to provide a fair contract to its employees. They need our support now more than ever as the hospital is also cutting their health insurance starting 5/31/25. I know first hand what these dedicated staff members face on a daily basis. They take care of Rhode Island’s most vulnerable population including those with severe mental illness, addiction, and individuals with developmental disabilities. This is only putting even more strain on an already strained healthcare system in this state. While Butler continues to rake in profits its union employees can barely pay their living expenses.
