Mr. Patrick (Buschmohle) Needs Our Help

Hi, my name is Holly. I have been best friends with Shannon and Courtney Buschmohle for three decades. Mr. and Mrs. Buschmohle fondly refer to me as “the other daughter.” I am creating this GoFundMe page to help my best friend’s parents with an overwhelming situation the family has quietly been dealing with for the last few months.

Mr. Patrick (Buschmohle) entered Karmanos cancer Institute in July of this year for a relatively invasive skin cancer removal surgery. The surgery lasted over 10 hours and was performed by three surgeons. The surgery appeared to be a success, however a routine wound check showed serious infection had developed, and another major surgery was necessary. Mr. Patrick has endured many serious health complications and set backs since… and is still in the hospital approaching three months time. He has spent countless days in the ICU. The emotional and physical toll this has taken on their entire family has been relentless. They currently do not have a discharge date. They were informed he will need additional inpatient physical rehab once released. He will also require in-home nursing care for a period of time. Most of which are unfortunately not covered by insurance.

Mr. Patrick is the soul breadwinner for his household as the owner of Patrick Photographic Studio in Warren Michigan. He has been a constant fixture in the community for over 50 Years! Chances are Mr. Patrick took your senior pictures, your prom, your wedding, your family, your kids… Chances are he did all of the above. Chances are he has been present at some special milestones in your life… Catching the ball, receiving your diploma or taking your first communion. Chances are he has made you smile, he has put you at ease, he has told you a joke, he has remembered your name, he has told you about his grandkids and everything De La Salle. He is the most considerate, thoughtful, happy, generous, and genuine person. And right now he needs our help.

His business has taken a huge hit, and we don’t have a definitive timeline of when he can return. This is why I’m reaching out to all family, friends, and our community to lend a hand in donating to help support Mr. & Mrs. Buschmohle during this unforeseen hardship on his health, his family and his business. Your donation will help tremendously with the current and upcoming challenges Mr. Buschmohle is inevitably facing with astronomical medical bills, maintaining his household andnecessary future in home nursing care.

Patrick's charisma, memory and sense of humor is infectious. To be able to bring Patrick home would profoundly affect his ability to recover. He is a highly social man, I believe the isolation that he has endured in the many medical facilities has dampened his spirit and potential to heal. The family and many friends visit and support but, there's no place like home... and unfortunately love and visitations cannot bring him home.
